This page is posted as part of a nostalgic mirror of a very old site. Read an explanation or visit my current site.![]() While education at a small private college may stretch and even exceed the financial resources of many families, Gordon's Financial Aid Office is dedicated to helping families from a wide variety of circumstances meet the coss of a quality liberal arts education. The Financial Aid Office attempts to identify financial resources for eligible students in the form of direct federal, state and college financial aid programs including grants, loans and employment opportunities. The financial aid package of Gordon and non-Gordon funds assembled by the Financial Aid Office should help families to afford the education they have chosen. Students are awarded financial aid based on their demonstrated financial need. In order to determine a family's relative financial strength and level of need, data is evaluated according to a government mandated system administered by licensed processors. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for all forms of federal and state aid. In addition, Gordon, like most private schools, also requires a supplemental data collection form to award our own funds. We prefer the Financial Aid Form (FAF) of the College Scholarship Service (CSS). Both FAFSA and FAF forms are available at most high schools, or by contacting CSS directly at P.O. Box 176, Princeton, NJ 08540, or form Gordon. The priority deadlines for receipt of all aid application materials are: March 15 for new studetns and April 15 for returning students. Allow four weeks for FAFSA and FAF processing. While applications are accepted at Gordon after the deadlines, some funds may be depleted and, therefore, unavailable to late applicants. Students must reapply for aid each year, using FAFSA, FAF and the Gordon College Application. Gordon's Financial Aid Office distributes application materials to returning students in December. New students should contact the Gordon Admissions and Financial Aid Office. A separate application for Canadian students is available.
